About us

Our Founder

Lisa Taber is the President and Founder of Learn it Pro. Lisa has been a lifelong learner and finds joy in helping students reach their potential. With over 20 years of classroom experience and multiple years of tutoring, Lisa is equipped to help each student she works with. 

After graduating from Lyman High School, Lisa attended Rollins College, where she excelled in the classroom and was a member of the Women’s Basketball team. Lisa finished her academic and athletic career at Warner University, where she majored in Biology and minored in both Sports Management and Bible. She spent most of her adult life in Memphis, TN, where she taught science and coached basketball. She and her husband have 5 sons ranging from Kindergarten to college. While in Tennessee, Lisa created and offered ACT workshops on Saturdays at her school and started private tutoring.

Yes, a 15 minute phone consultation is available free of charge. If you would prefer to email before scheduling your first session, that works well also. Kindly send us an email at lisa.taber@learnitpro.org

  1. The Saturday Workshops and Summer Boot Camps take place at our Learn it Pro Office at 661 W Warren Ave., Longwood, FL 32750. 
  2. Individual and private tutoring sessions take place at local coffee shops in Oviedo, local clubhouses or via Zoom.

We kindly ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. There is a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of your tutoring, for last minute cancellations. Please understand that when you schedule and pay, you are holding that spot and preventing someone else from signing up for tutoring at that time.

Yes, each tutor is background checked before they can begin working with students.

During the school year with all the other demands in a student’s life, usually meeting once a week for an hour is advised. If more is needed it can be arranged.

However, the Saturday workshops are 3.5 hours, providing extra support. Furthermore, the Intensive Summer Boot Camps last a total of 12 hours over 4 days.

No, we are here for each individual student. Some students know they just need a big review or only have a couple weeks before their test to meet. Others have a goal in which they realize from the beginning, they will want to meet weekly for the entire semester. Therefore, we offer discounted packages for those that want to sign up for several sessions at once. However, it is not required.
